1. Read the statement about the “cowspiracy.”
Animal agriculture is the leading cause of deforestation, water
consumption and pollution, is responsible for more greenhouse gases than
the transportation industry, and is a primary driver of rainforest destruction,
species extinction, habitat loss, topsoil erosion, ocean “dead zones,” and
virtually every other environmental ill. Yet it goes on, almost entirely
unchallenged.
Explain and summarize the statement and your feelings about it.
-The statement above speaks about the devastating outcomes of animal
agriculture. As stated in the documentary, “farmed animals produce a
substantial amount of methane from digestive processes”. Nowadays,
livestock is an extremely negative influence on global warming, causing
excessive resource consumption and degrading the environment.
