Dear Mr. Shamberg :
Your inquiry regarding a job position for a Data Analyst Intern closely matches my
qualifications. I am a Junior at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the field of
Information Decision Sciences. I have extensive experience with Microsoft Access and
Microsoft Excel. I have done countless training exercises that involve data sorting,
creating pareto charts, creating data tables , forecasting sales , calculating economic order
quantities and optimal re-order points. I also have my own 2013 copy of Microsoft Word,
Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel and I also have a triple monitor workstation that
enables me to be very productive and continue the work at home if the need arises.
Time will not be an issue either. I have no other obligations as of now and have a blank
schedule all the way to July 31st. I’m also a very patient individual and I plan on becoming
an airline pilot. This information seems irrelevant to the job at hand but it does tell you that
I have no problem with doing repetitive tasks. Something that airline pilots are required to
do for hours without rest.
I welcome this opportunity to put my knowledge of information systems to good use and I
expect to meet , if not , exceed your expectations. Thank you for your time and your
consideration.
Sincerely,
Alex Lapute
