Chapter Quizzes (Worth 25% of your course grade)
There will be nine (9) chapter quizzes that are located in the “Tests” section of Blackboard.
Chapter quizzes will be composed of 20 multiple-choice questions and one essay question (the
essay will be taken from the ‘Discussion and Review Questions’ at the end of each chapter).
Each Chapter Quiz will be worth 50 points. Chapter quizzes will be available for the entire week,
however you may only take the test once during this time. From the time you start the test,
you will have 40 minutes to submit your responses. If you submit your test after the 40 minute

**Please keep a close eye on your time. Also, it is ALWAYS important to save EACH answer as you
go.**
Quizzes are open book and/or open note, but having to use your book or notes for too many
answers will slow you down and not allow enough time for you to complete quizzes. Please
remember that you may NOT share the test content with other students as this will be considered
cheating and you risk being withdrawn from the course. The scores on the best eight of the nine
online quizzes will be averaged together to create one Chapter Quiz grade worth 25% of your
final grade.
PLEASE NOTE that even though Blackboard gives you the option, you CANNOT save your test and
come back to it later. The timer will continue to run and the appropriate amount of points will be
deducted if the time limit is exceeded.
Midterm Exam (Worth 25% of your course grade). The midterm will cover all of the chapters
1, 5, 6, and 7 and will be composed of 100 multiple-choice questions worth 1 points each for a
total of 100 possible points. You will have one (1) hour and forty five (45) minutes to complete
the midterm.
