User Guide for implementers
A User Guide was developed to assist regional, national and local-level implementers in joining the
campaign effort and using the campaign materials in a way that is relevant and impactful in the local
context. The UG provides an orientation to the “Let’s Talk!” Campaign – its intention, content, and vision
as well as practical advice about how the campaign materials can be used to provoke informed
conversations about problems and solutions associated with EUP. The UG is intended to help local
implementers:
envision a variety of implementation activities to accompany campaign materials and
understand their rationales
prioritize and customize activities to fit national, sub-national, and local contexts
make a strategic plan for national rollout
prepare implementers to facilitate those activities effectively
The user guide is not intended to be a prescriptive document, but rather an aid to those looking to join a
unified, regional effort to reduce early and unintended pregnancy for the benefit of all impacted by the
SAfAIDS, Save the Children, and the media. The launch event served the dual purpose of introducing the
campaign to country partners and high-level stakeholders and also garnering their buy-in and support.
