6.3 – Trigonometric Functions of Angles
This is an EXTREMELY IMPORTANT section!
A. Extending the Trigonometric Values to Non-Acute Angles:
So far we have limited ourselves to acute angles, but we need to be able to deal with any angle
(remember that we can keep rotating that terminal side to get larger and larger values?).
In order to do this, let’s take a look at the angle in a new way (in the xy-plane):
