Contracts and Intellectual Property
In the business setting there are times where conflicts arise that require a dispute
resolution process to be in place. Conflicts in the employment setting can be wrongful
termination, sexual harassment, discrimination, and newly defined business practices
with regards to the employment relationship (ADR, 2013). The relationship between the
employer and the employee is established from day one of employment through policies
and employment agreements. It is within the employment agreement that an employer
can build dispute resolution clauses to handle conflict that may arise between the
employer and the employee. The purpose of the agreement is to ensure the employee
knows what is expected in a situation that requires outside sources to intervene and help
bring about resolution.
