Consumer Behavior
Our world today is consumed by corporations that have been built to make our lives
“easier” and since 1962 the world has changed dramatically. Retail stores like Walmart were
made to make citizens lives easier, they were a drug, clothing and, food store all in one to save
people time and “money”. But not all retail stores have made our lives easier.
I do agree that Walmart and other big retail stores have impacted our lives greatly. Retail
stores were made to help us out during our daily routine, but as someone who works at a retail
store, I find them to be more concerned on making money than making customers happy. Also I
feel as if they are more preoccupied with running against other companies and trying to be the
best store out of every store in district.
Don’t get me wrong, a good portion of retail stores are helpful and full of friendly
employees. For example from my personal experience, I was with a phone company named
Metro Pcs and I’ve had them for years. Every year I was always forced to buy a new phone from
Metro because they would usually end up breaking on me or resetting itself. My last phone I had
from Metro decided to go flying on the floor and manufactory reset itself and I lost everything!
So again I go to Metro and tell them what happened and again they just told me “and, we can’t
help you”. Really?! So I finally told them off and steamed off. I was curious and decided to go to
