how different generation select and use product and services. Beside, we also researcher the
factor influence consumer purchases and their level of involvement in purchase decision.
Before buying the product they will think and feel about different alternative such as brand and
quality. The emotional brings about hidden attitudes, motivation and felling while satisfaction
tells us about the future needs and ideas for a product.
Baby Boomers: Leong Ming Fatt, male and living in Pulau Pinang. He is 62 year old. He
is an engineering technician and monthly income are around RM 12,000.00. He purchase
the spectacles for reading glasses which is Whoosh brand. The model of spectacles is Urban
Series Black Wayfarer. With a wide range of design, great team of professional opticians
and 4 fixed affordable price. The price of the product is around RM 570.
Gen X: He is Lai Ming Xuan, male and 36 year old live in Johor. He is a financial manager
and monthly income are RM 8,000.00. He purchase the football blue color boost which is
Adidas brand. The model that he bought is Nemeziz 18.1 Firm Ground Boots because he
admire Lionel Messi and cost him RM 943.00.. The boost that deliver both compressive

Gen Y: Carson, male and 22 year old. He education level is degree. He bought the Apple
iPhone Xs Max, price is RM 6,200.00. He purchase this model is because have 6.5-inch

Baby boomer: The sensory triggered for the respondent is the vision. They might have eyes
disorder like long sightedness so they need a pair of glasses to help them see things clearly.
The benefit for them is they will not to hit somethings and fall down easily. The respondent
has a good view so that they able to greet people when their friends is beside the respondent.
Gen X: The respondent for generation x is seek for a healthy lifestyle. When you jogging
or walking, a good sport shoes will help you to maintain a good healthy lifestyle. They able
to touch and to feel how good the sport shoes are able to help to maintain lifestyle.
Gen Y: Nowadays, the smart phone is a ‘need’ for the respondent. The smart phone will
accompany the respondent from the day till night. The respondent might seek for the sound
that play from the smartphone’s apps which is youtube video that respondent may
saw or follow some youtuber.
2.2 stimulus exposure
Baby boomer: The respondent able to drive the car. There are very good example to
describe the respondent which is absolute threshold. Absolute threshold is about the
distance that consumer can view within a short distance. The respondents have to see clearly
that is anything important wrote on that sign board so that they will drive carefully. So, a
good spectacles is good for the respondent.
Gen X: The respondent might want a healthy body to live with happy. So the respondent
saw an advertisement in the social media which wrote about Best Messi Boost Ever
Before they purchase the shoes they will have some advice from the salesman and also they
can feel the materials before they buy. It’s exposure to the consumer to compare and have
a knowledge about the shoes can help to maintain our healthy lifestyle.
Gen Y: The respondent get the information is from friend. The respondent’s friend stay
loyalty to the brand and the respondent’s friend was purchase recently. Besides, the
respondent also saw an advertisement on the youtube video which show how attractive the
phone.

Baby boomer: The most external stimulus for the baby bomber is the sign board which
place on the road. It’s very important to care yourself or other’s safety. Respondent who
have a good spectacles can view the things clearly and to stay in a good safety environment.
Gen x: The most external stimulus for gen x is about the social media advertisement. The
advertisement with a good quote help the respondent to make a good decision about the
healthy lifestyle.
Gen y: The most external stimulus for gen y is the friend recommendation. The friend’s
recommendation is very powerful effect to the respondent is because the respondent’s had
touch, feel and use it.
2.4 stimulus interpretation
Baby boomer: Once the respondent has a good spectacles will help the respondent to relief
the stressful during the driving. As the respondent has a good spectacle will also help to not
