Conflict in Organizations
Organizational conflict is major disagreement between two or more groups which is
working together in organizations. Organizational conflict is real or perceived oppositions
with different values, practices and goals between groups. Conflict in organization can be
seen between executives, executives and managers, managers and teams, team and team.
There are many causes of organizational conflict such as stress, different knowledge, poor
communication, misunderstanding, perceived oppression, attachments, expectations etc.
However, the most significant source of conflict in organizations is hierarchy. In
workplace, power differences between managers may create problems. Organizations

If conflict in organization can be limited, company will be affected negatively. Hayes
(2008) mentions about negative effects of organizational conflict. According to Hayes,
conflicts damage effective teamwork in organizations. Due to conflicts, communication
problems between people which are working together can occur. He says that lack of
communication is the cause of misunderstanding. Because of miscommunication also
prevent common goal and vision. Common goals and visions help organizations to
success. Moreover, Hayes says that group conflict is waste of time and time is most
important things for company. All of these create insubordination. Workers and personal
do not respect managers. Hayes also touches on negative effect of organizational conflicts
on productivity. Unless conflict problem is stopped, workers will focus on conflict instead
of their duty. Moreover, Hayes believes that conflict in organization decrease job
