Conflict Assessment:
The conflict lies between home and work. Joe must figure out which is more important.
Trying to do both is causing issues on both ends when he could use energy to at least make one
end successful and satisfied. Joe is so busy between the two he is giving both parties little of his
time and is tired and worn out. Customer service has fallen, and he seems to not be around to
capture issues as the other assistant managers. To improve the workplace, Joe simply must be
present and effective. His plate is too heavy and I don’t believe Joe can even focus on one thing
at a time with everything going on.
Jim understands that Joe not being there physically and mentally is bringing the business
down. It’s just bad timing for everything on Joe’s end and he feels he can’t even discuss this with
