SING PRAISES OUT! – St David’s Parish Choir & Friends
Summer 2018
I attended the St. David’s parish choir performance of “Sing Praises Out” on June
21st at Saint David’s Episcopal Church located in downtown Austin, Texas. This was the
first concert I have attended and it blew me away. I was very excited on my way there;
the only knowledge I had of a concert was from the movies, but having the opportunity to
experience it in person was superb. This concert actually inspired me to put more effort
into singing at my church. I was amazed at how a group of people with different
beautiful voices can come in unison and produce such beautiful harmony. The
conductor, Mr. David Stevens, did a really good job setting the tempo for the entire piece,
the organist and the singer were on the same pace, and the choir followed a
complimentary rhythm throughout the whole performance.
