Concert Report
For this essay, I watched and analyzed four video recording of music performances. The
first one was Quartet in E-flat major for Piano, Violin, Viola, and Cello, Op.47 of Robert
Schumann. It had four movements including Sostenuto assai – Allegro ma non troppo, Scherzo:
Molto vivace, Andante cantabile, and Finale: Vivace. Four performers in this piece were Wu Han
playing piano, Daniel Hope playing violin, Paul Neubauer playing viola, and David Finckel
playing cello. The second video was a one-movement piano duet named Libertango of Astor
Piazzolla and played by Khatia and Gvantsa Buniatishvili. The third video was Bolero of Maurice
Ravel performed by a traditional symphony orchestra which was conducted by Gustavo Dudamel.
Instruments used in this one-movement piece included representatives of the woodwinds, strings,
brass, and percussion. The last one was ’O Sole Mio which had lyrics by Giovanni Capurro and
