Teaching children about sexual education is not an easy task. This is especially true when
speaking of “the birds and the bees.” For many, these topics are too explicit to speak about with
minors, and some would rather shield them from vital knowledge altogether. In an ideal setting,
students should obtain most of their information from home from their parents but should also
use dependable sources of information that can be provided in sex education classes made
readily available in schools. That is why students need access to comprehensive education,
credible source of information, and State’s law assistance in promoting sex education in
classrooms. It can show to be an effective method of teaching students the risks and preventative
measures they can take when they do decide to engage in sexual activity.
