Compare and contrast formal and informal communication.
Communication is more prolific than ever before. There are so many ways to
communicate now then we’ve ever had at any time in the past. While writing this report, the
author is using Microsoft Teams, Outlook, the phone, and Zoom to communicate. There are
times where communication needs to be formal, to be as clear and precise as possible. Then there
are times where we can be informal, such as when we are showing levity. There are even times
when, as a manager, you would want to keep up with gossip in the workplace. This report will
compare and contrast the formal and informal means of communication.
Formal communication refers to the interchange of official information. This official
