Sh*t People Say to People with Disabilities, TED: What I’ve Learned From my Autistic

These two videos reflect the challenges that those living with a disability, restrictions or
lack of ability to perform activities resulting from physical limitations or from the interplay
among those limitations, social responses, and the built or social environment, and their loved
ones face when combating the stigma, any personal attribute that would be deeply discrediting if
it becomes known, of being different from the rest of society. The first video, allows various
disabled persons to lament the discrimination, unequal treatment grounded in prejudice, that they
face due to the prejudice, unwarranted discrimination against people with disabilities. In the
video, the actors chronicle the various ways they are talked down and condescended toward.
While the majority group (in this case, able-bodied people) misuse and mistreat the people with
