Satanism is broken up into different groups, the first groups are private and then the
second groups were public. The private satanic groups were called Beast of Satan, Luciferianism,
The Ophites, Dragon Rouge, Order of Nine Angles, Order of the Temple, Our Lady of Endor,
Palladists, and The Yezidi. Then the public groups were Church of Satan, First Satanic Church,
Temple of Set, and Typhonian Order. Not every satanic group do satanic rituals, warship and read
from the Satanic Bible, and use the tradition Satanic Symbol (upside down star). The public
groups are organizations that are taxed-exempted from the United States, and are even
recognized by the U.S. Military. Private groups try to stay under the radar and stay a secret.
One public satanic group I would like to talk about is the Church of Satan. This group
was founded in April 30, 1966 by Anton LaVey. The Church Belief systems was different from
most satanic groups, they did not believe in the Judeo-Christian devil. Also, there were two basic
memberships you can have with the Church of Satan, active or registered. Everyone must start as
an active member of the Church at first, then after time of being active, you can be asked to
register to the Church of Satan. The Churches belief systems revolved around The Nine Satanic
Statements, The Nine Satanic Sins, and the Eleven Satanic Rules of Earth.
The Nine Satanic Statements express what Satan means to the Church and its members.
The first statement is “Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence”. The first statement is
explaining that Satanism is not a world-denying religion. The second statement is “Satan
represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams”. This is just trying to say you should
believe what is in front of you, don’t waste your time on lies. “Satan represents undefiled
wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit” is the third statement and it means not everything that
you hear and see is what you want it to be. “Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it
