Companies need innovative business models to survive today’s competition.
A significant amount of companies has failed to adapt their business models to the changing
environment. In the future, competition will take place between business models, and not just
between products and technologies. There is no doubt that companies need innovative
business models to survive today’s competition. There are many reasons to support this.
Firstly, a business model gives the company an overview. On the one hand, a business model
shows who the customer is. On the other hand, a business model displays what the customer’s
values are. With this information, the company can innovate its products and generate higher
revenue.
Secondly, a business model is in many cases more important than products or the innovation
of products. If the company works with an innovative business model, it can carry new
customers. For instance, IKEA does not only generate sales with furniture, but also has a
restaurant.
Lastly, the experience selling is said to be a successful business model. Several companies
design their stores in a way that makes the experience for the customers unique. Therewith,
the customers will spend more time in the store and are likely to buy more products.
I am going to write about the business model experience selling. It is an example of an
innovative business model. Companies design their stores to be special and fancy. I remember
I was in a Victoria’s Secret Store. The shop was nice and looked like a dressing room.
In conclusion, it can be said that a company should choose its business model carefully. If the
business model works with the company, it will have no problems and help the company to
become better in future.
