Thesis statement: “A Code of Ethics for Social Marketing? Bridging Procedural
Ethics and Ethics-in–Practice”
A. The main goal is to review foundations for “procedural ethics”—formal
systems for ethical oversight—including moral and political philosophy,
existing codes of ethics, and previous proposals for codes of ethics for
social marketing.
B. The method was to have 3 different tests on how ethics affects decision
making. Developing and applying norms, developing formal , procedural
ethics (in just a way), and supporting social marketers to develop in
practice, or phronesis
C. There are different codes that companies and people live by. People have
been shaped by their thoughts and feelings for centuries.
