Communication: Key to Success
Communication is maybe the most complicated thing in the world and when it is not
perfectly completed it generally causes problems. A workplace is a place that consisted of
many employees and the communication between these employees is the key for a
business. Nothing can exist without communication. There maybe many barriers exist for
an effective communication in a workplace. Hierarchy may be one of the barriers for
communication in a bussiness. Hierarchy may bring pressure with it for an employee when
communicating with an employer or an employee with a higher hierarchy that will cause in
a situation employee with lower hierarchy cannot say the thing that comes to his/her mind.
Also with a communication loss within vertical or horizontal frame can destroy the
empathy along the workplace. With an empathy loss in vertical frame can cause unsatisfied
employees and in horizontal frame it will destroy the integration and work efficiency will
be very low. For instance acording to Fuimano, “In surveys with employees on what makes
a good manager, people want to feel like their manager listens to them. This is a huge
issue. When leaders and parents and teachers listen, really listen, using empathy to
understand what the person is thinking or feeling without trying to change them or fix
them or solve their problem, the person feels valued as human being.”(2009). It could be
improved with the help of a integrating manager that will establish meetings in order to
