During this past few days I realized that I frequently use the critical listening style in my
conversation with others. I prefer to listen for the facts and evidence in any conversation so that I
can give a sound feedback or advice, and I also listen for errors or inconsistences in the
conversation. I am not surprised by my finding because, I am naturally a critical thinker and I
access every situation critically. I am more comfortable with the critical listening style because I
prefer to be honest and truthful in my conversations with others. If the conversation I am having
with someone is not based on facts, then I become disinterested and I will stop listening to the
