Purple
“All the other colors are just colors, but purple seems to have a soul-when you look at it, it’s
looking back at you” (Uniek Swain) The color purple was discovered by Williams H. Perkin in
1856, due to him searching for a cure known as malaria. The synthetic dye was made from the
mucous of snails. Purple unifies the relaxing firmness of blue and the savage spirit of red. Like
Jennifer Bourn said, the color Purple identifies spirituality, royalty and peacefulness which
exhibits its superiority from the other colors.
For many years, many religions have used purple to proclaim their spirituality. Priest have
modeled clothing that accommodates with this color. Purple was associated with the Roman
