Geographical Location:
Colombia is located in northwestern South America. It is bordered to the east by
Venezuela and Brazil, to the south by Ecuador and Peru, and to the northwest by Panama. There
are three different climate zones in Colombia: tierra caliente which is hot, tierra temblada which
is temperate, and tierra fria which is cold (Colombia Geography. n.d). Colombia is filled with
forests, although they suffer from large amounts of deforestation. Both the Andes Mountains and
the Amazon River are well-known landmarks in Colombia.

The main exports from Colombia are Mineral Fuel and Oil, Precious Stones, Spices,
