Collaboration can loosely be defined as working with others to complete a task in order
to achieve shared goals. It is a recursive process where multiple individuals and/or organizations
work together to realize, plan for, and achieve their shared goals. Collaboration is more than just
the intersection of common goals seen in ventures that are co-operative, but a true and deep
melding of collective determination to reach an identical and mutually agreed upon objective that
is creative in nature. The formation of collaborative teams and the use of collaborative strategy
by organizational leaders are critical for accomplishment of a team or organization’s common
