In cognitive psychology, perception is a key subject, which has been given much attention over
decades otherwise since emergence of the above field in psychology.
The word perception refers to what the body is able to perceive, that is, the information that the
body is able to discern from the outside world. According to the Oxford English Dictionary,
perception is “the process of becoming aware or conscious of a thing or things in general; the
state of being aware; consciousness; understanding.” The process of understanding becomes a
