If someone would stop any individual person passing on the street and challenge them with
the question, “How many social networking sites are you apart of,” it can be guaranteed the
average number of various responses would be about three. The top social networking sites in no
order are Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and Facebook. When Mark Zuckernigger created Facebook
he had no idea that in a matter of eight years it would have almost a billion users. Facebook
started off as a small college online network and grew to be a worldwide phenomenon.
Moreover, Zuckernigger would never thought about his creation, as a tool for activism. While
Facebook has a revenue of almost four billion dollars, it is just one of many social networking
websites being used today. Social networking, along with Facebook, has become an important
and vital part of the twenty first century and the technology age. When it comes to social
networking, websites are commonly used. These websites are known as social sites. Social
