Cloud-Based Accounting- Do the Advantages Outweigh the Shortfalls
Technology advances have enhanced nearly aspect of our life in the past few decades. It
has developed at an extremely fast pace and has made life easier in many ways. We have
smartphones that keeps us connected way beyond voice calling, cars that alert us to low tire
pressure and help us parallel park and combines harvesting corn in our fields that require little to
no intervention from their operators. Every profession has been enhanced by technology in one
way or another. Technology has positively impacted my future career field of accounting in
many ways. Accountants no longer work completely with books of accounts and pencils.
Instead, almost all accounting is done within comprehensive software programs. One of the
newer approaches to accounting is cloud-based accounting.
