• Why should clinical performance be focused on outcomes?
It is really important for clinical performance to be focused on outcomes because there are
various aspects to be considered. One in particular is the cost associated with clinical
performances. Unless the outcomes are closely monitored, it would be very easy to lose
track of the results and end up wasting a lot of money. The outcomes also help monitor the
progress and help direct future decisions. The outcomes also help create a relationship
between healthcare providers and the patients versus treating the patients as subjects only
being used in an experiment as Dr. Krumholz stated in the video. “ The physician is
obligated to monitor the patient’s progress and to modify the protocol to fit the patient’s
needs”. (Griffith & White, 2010, p. 146). In order to figure out new ways to improve close
monitoring of the outcomes is essential

and efficiency?
In order to properly serve all patients and treat them equally, it is necessary to differentiate
the concepts of quality, appropriateness, economy, and efficiency. Especially since no two
patients are alike. Every patient has a different background, and ability to pay for services.
Based on certain factors, often times quality and efficiency may vary.
Why is it important that medical decisions involve probabilities?
Medical decisions should always involve probabilities because unfortunately all medical
decisions are under uncertainty. By using probabilities, errors could be monitored more
closely and prevented from repeating in the future
