Religions
In general religions play a big role in today’s society. Religions are
characterized by diversity of religious beliefs and practices. Religious liberty has
enable religion to *ourish in the US. The majority of the Americans report that
religion plays a very important role in their lives. The three main religions in
America today are Christianity, Judaism, and Islam which are the three religions that
are talked in the bible.
Christianity is known to be the fastest growing religion in America.
Christianity was founded by Jesus and its followers are called Christians. Christianity
is a religion based on the life and teaching of Jesus Christ. Most Christians believe
that Jesus is the son of God. Christian’s belief in God the father, Jesus Christ as the
son of God, and the Holy Spirit. They believe the death, descent into hell,
resurrection, and ascension of Christ. They also believe in the holiness of the
church, the communion of saints, in Christ second coming, the Day of Judgment,
and the salvation of the faithful. The sacred text of Christianity is the Bible, which
consist of the Old Testament and the New Testament. Christians have private and
corporate prayer, study and read the scriptures and participate in rites such
baptism and communion. Christians assemble for communal worship on Sunday,
the day of the resurrection. Sermons are held at a church or chapel and those are
generally led by a minister, preacher, or pastor. Some evangelical services resemble
concerts with rock and pop music dancing. Christians most important holidays are
