The Jauja

The movie The Jauja reminds me of open space representing Argentina. It stays away from
the city and to an area of isolation where we assume the Indians also stay too.I choose to
pick this scene because it gives us a mind idea of what is was like to live right next to the
Indians and how two different worlds clash. This is the scene where the father finds the
dying boy his daughter ran away from. We conclude the Indians took her because they start
to attack the father and take his stuff. Although the movie moves along slow in this scene
we notice a change in pace. It represents how drastically one scene can change from
another. One the father thought he would be close enough to finding this daughter, but he
is actually far from it. This scene also shows a side of Indians we are not familiar with.
Indians are often depicted as being savage and having no common sense. In this scene
however, the captain is tricked into having his gun taken away and his horse. The two very
important things to protect him and help him find his daughter is taken very easily from
him. It is almost as if he handed it over to them. The Indians are very good at playing cat
