Final
IT capability management
For my final project, I have chosen to analyze Domino’s pizza on the topic of IT
capability management. Why domino’s pizza? Because it is a company well known
from people and the way they compete against “monsters” such as Pizza Hut or
Papa John’s is something that I could not really understand myself so I was really
wandering how they have been able to fairly fight them.
Throughout that final project I will first try to describe what kind of IT system
they used over the last 15 years to run their business on a day-to-day basis. Then I
will illustrate with examples a framework related to that topic which could be
useful and ensure great results. Finally, I will explain how thanks to capability
management, they were able to create better business application to increase the
utilization of IT, and in the meantime increase the effectiveness of IT on business
performance. Obviously, what I will describe in the following paragraphs are only
few solutions out of many more they implemented to improve their overall
business and as a matter of the fact increase their revenue.
