The​ ​conflict​ ​on​ ​allowing​ ​children​ ​to​ ​choose​ ​their​ ​own​ ​extracurricular​ ​activities​ ​has​ ​been​ ​a
constant​ ​issue.​ ​Some​ ​parents​ ​believe​ ​that​ ​letting​ ​their​ ​child​ ​choose​ ​for​ ​themselves​ ​their
extracurricular​ ​activities​ ​​ ​is​ ​the​ ​best​ ​way​ ​to​ ​help​ ​them​ ​succeed​ ​since​ ​they​ ​get​ ​to​ ​choose
something​ ​they​ ​have​ ​an​ ​interest​ ​in.​ ​While​ ​other​ ​parents​ ​believe​ ​that​ ​choosing​ ​the​ ​activity​ ​for
them​ ​will​ ​be​ ​the​ ​most​ ​effective,​ ​since​ ​they​ ​feel​ ​​ ​that​ ​they​ ​know​ ​​ ​what​ ​is​ ​best​ ​for​ ​their​ ​child.
