The Chiller and the Condensing Unit in Plumbing
A chiller refers to a machine that is used in cooling liquids using different approaches,
including vapor compression and through absorption refrigeration cycles.
The liquid could be circulated through an installed heat exchanger to cool air and/or equipment.
Refrigeration by use of chillers gives heat as a byproduct, which is then exhausted as to be the
atmosphere or utilized for heating purposes. The design and the selection of chillers depend on
performance, their efficiency, ease of maintenance, and individual chiller product life cycle about
the environmental impact. In air conditioning systems in building and factories, chilled water is
usually distributed to heat exchangers, and or coils of passage tubes, in the condensing unit. After
the chilled water absorbs the heat from the condensing unit in an air conditioning system, it is re-
