Children in the Civil Rights Movement
Children in the 1960’s were influential to the Civil Rights Movement. They attributed
many different points and believed that change was possible. Along with their support and
determination they gave up their lives in order for the country to show how much they believed
in equal rights for everyone. Some examples include the Birmingham Children’s Crusade and the
series of Freedom Riders. These children showed what it meant to stand up for what is right and
made huge contributions to the world we live in today.
