Discuss the effects of childhood obesity and the steps that
can be taken to prevent and to treat this condition in a
child?
In the past four decades the number of children and adolescents obesity rate has
skyrocketed, it is estimated that in America 32% of children between the ages of 2 to
19 are overweight and 17% are struggling with obesity. Obesity is caused by the poor
eating habits and getting little to no physical activity, consuming healthy foods and
getting exercise can help to reduce your weight and treat obesity, giving you the
energy you need and your body to stay healthy. It all goes back to having a good
understanding of nutrition, which will empower you to make the best choses for your
healthy.
In America Obesity rates increased not only in children but also in adults, they are
higher then ever. In the age we live in today we are all about what is easy and fast we
want our food and we want it now many people don’t want to wait, they turn to fast
food and other foods that can be made quickly food, that is high in fat, not to
menschen many people snack on things like chips or candy both of which are high in
fat and can cause weight gain. Children are greatly influenced by the environment they
are surrounded by; if they see someone being energetic they will be more energetic it
is the same with the eating habits they are encompassed with. Parents have a big
