Topic: What do you think about child labor?
Children in poor countries these days work for many hours under the age of 15. This kind of
labor provides problems or di,cul-es for the world’s economy. Timmerman said in the book, Where I
Am I wearing ? , “In nineteenth-century England, the industry favored women and children for their
abundance, the cheap wages paid to them, and their obedient temperament.” This means that child
labor existed since a long -me ago. In addition, child labor is considered as a form of child abuse, and
it’s the exploita-on of a child’s rights and freedoms. Therefore, child labor is any child who works in the
factories, in the households, and in the street underage of 15.
First of all, child labor is defined as any child who works factories. In his visit in Bangladesh,
Timmerman saw many children work in the factories. Children who worked in factories were cheaper to
hire than adults, could be manipulated to work intensive hours, and for law rages. Children workers
have the adult responsibility of having to earn a living without any protection against abuses and poor
working condition. Many children are exploded in danger, and they are employed mostly by rich
people because they used their weakness and their innocence to slave them. Many of factories are
unclean with many trash and danger. These children work in the worst condition and face serious risk
of injury.
Secondly, child labor is any child under the age of 18 who work in households. They take
care for their children, and sometimes they help the employer run a small businesses from
homes. Even if they are not paid, their paid is food and shelter. Most children come from the
villages, they also mostly girls. Child domestic workers are isolated from their family, and they are under
the total control of their employers. In my country, most children work to pay their school fees and
support their families. sometimes parents bring their daughters to my mother to help to work as a
housekeeping. In India you see many young girls worked to survive, or they their parent to have
something to eat in their family. Many parents believe that domestic work is safe, but it’s exposed the
