Munchausen by proxy is a metal disorder that is described as someone making up or
causing symptoms of illness in themselves or their children for attention. This disease is shown to
be a mental disorder instead of a crime. Timothy Legg writes an article claiming this as a, “Mental
Health Issue”, providing terms and examples justifying child abuse. People diagnosed with
