Cheating and plagiarism in the school systems is becoming more and more common in
today’s society. Students are looking for the easy way out and today’s technology and resources
make it that much easier for them to do so. How do we as a society address the problem and
where is the solution? Could this be a never ending epidemic in our students?
In today’s classrooms technology seems to be a blessing, however, teachers are blindly
handing students the very tools they utilize to cheat and plagiarize. As technology and
communication become more advanced cheating will keep rising among students of all ages
who utilize such technologies. Whether it is the internet, phone, social media, and even
socializing in the school, cheating is always a constant threat to schools now-a-days. Peer
pressure, social media, social networks, cell phones, after school activities and group
interactions can all persuade a student into plagiarizing and cheating. The desire to devote time
