The writing process is important in effective writing including planning for purpose and
audience, including critical thinking, gathering information and generating and organizing ideas.
Analyze the purple for each writing task and plan a document that will achieve that purpose.
You decide what you want to put in your memo or letter and decide the purpose of it.
Decide on the main issues to be addressed In each document you write and plan your
document to address the issues.
Decide who is your audience of whom you are writing to and write appropriately for each
audience.
Gather information for your writing and plan an effective organization for your documents. You
can gather information like interviewing people, or try to generate ideas that fit your memo
and be sure to organize your ideas that are in order so its more fluent.
Before sending in a final draft of an memo or a letter, write a rough draft of the document to
make sure its professional and has the right information.
Manage your time well and have time to proofread it.
