1. Research process
– Stage 1: Clarifying research question
➢ The process begin the most basic level with management dilemma. Some symptoms are
usually discovered such as Rising cost, declining sale , increase employees turnover,…
➢ The management dilemma can also be triggered in the early stage. Identifying management
dilemmas is rarely difficult but if they are chosen incorrectly, it will cost the amount of
resources.
➢ In general, the manager must answer these questions:
• Management question: a restatement of manager’s dilemma in question form
• Research question: the hypothesis that best illustrate the purpose of research
• Investigative question: questions the researchers must fulfill to completely solve
research question
• Measurement question: what respondents in research will asked or what specifically is
observed in the study
