Intrinsic and extrinsic rewards are definitely in my opinion some of the ways to better help
motivate followers. Depending on the followers situation and needs it will be important to use one over
the other. For example if a follower is not making enough to cover basic needs extrinsic rewards will be
more suited to his needs. Where as a person who has their needs covered then a intrinsic reward may be
suited. I have found that intrinsic rewards can be better for they give a since of purpose to the work
environment.
