Chapter 6 Assignment
1. Explain the difference between actual texture and visual texture.
The difference between actual texture and visual texture is, actual texture is that texture we can
feel it while the visual texture we cannot. Actual texture is the real thing like we can touch it
however, visual texture mostly occurred on paintings and sculptures which appeared as to be
texture, but in reality it doesn’t.
2. Outline some of the ways that time and motion informs our experience of visual art.
As we know that, most of the art work might includes an actual motion in which it looks like to
move in some way while the time in visual art can be experienced with the passage of time.
Basically, time implies mostly the change as well as movement; however movement leads to the
passage of time and vice versa. In addition, motion in the visual art can be an illusion.
