1. The benefits for rushing new drugs to be approved would be to get them on the market faster.
Also, the products could be put to use for helping people quicker. However, there are a few
costs to be mentioned as well. One of the costs would be risk that the drug has not been
thoroughly inspected causing health side effects for people. There may be reluctance to pull a
product off of the shelf or recall it after it has been approved because of the lawsuits that could
file. The product or the company producing the product could be seen as unethical.
2. The job I once had was in an environment with younger children. One of my co-workers, which
was a male, was also my friend. He was an excellent teacher, and nearly all the students loved
him. He was very successful at his job. One of the students reached out to me about he would
constantly message them, or try to stay in contact with them. Then shortly after that, another
student told me as well. At first I was skeptical because these were teenage girls and I know how
they can take things out of proportion. Then they would show me messages, and so forth that
confirmed their accusations. I knew that losing him as an employee would hurt the company,
but this was not okay. I notified my boss and she took him out of all situations that he would be
with the teenage girls. The girls’ learning suffered and our friendship ended, but this could not
be allowed to go on.
3. Generally, people are trying to defend a decision they know was not morally or ethically correct.
Business decision making is very difficult because there is a constant worry about making the
right choice for your company. I think businesses should be able follow what they feel is best for
their company. However, there should be strict ruling when it comes to what is considered
ethically and unethically correct. My decisions are generally pulled from an ethical basis,
therefor my standards for a business would mimic that of my personal life.
4. Individual: let me refer you to manager, and see if they can resolve your issue
would be best. As a coaching staff, we picked a fundraiser over the other and ended up losing
money. Obviously, this was the wrong choice because of the money loss.
