a. During the long period of time Jon spent on looking for a job, he was considered to be
unemployed. Therefore, when he finally got employed, the unemployed number of
people decreased, while other elements remained unchanged. So the unemployment
rate decreased as the labor force participation rate was unchanged.
b. As a full-time student, Tyrion was not in the labor force but in the adult population.
However, as he graduated, the number of people in the labor force increased. Also, he
