1. One of the main findings of the movie was the spiral carving hidden in some rocks. The
spiral carving actually turned out to be an intricate way of telling time. Light would come
in through caps in the rocks and cover the spiral and the way the light would hit the spiral
is how they would tell time. There was also a spiral with an arrow pointing to the Sun and
showed how important the Sun was to everyday life to the Chaco people. The two main
walls at Pueblo Bonito were north and south and east and west which was directly related
to the Sun. A lot of these findings were relevant to how they would measure time and see
what season or day it was.
2. I believe that the fact these methods to find what time it is and what day or season it was
has a deeper meaning and maybe we haven’t figured it out. In the film, they say they’ve
