Ch. 13 & 14 Assignment
1. The hospital has one major thing that is going for itself that protects itself in this case
with Amanda. This best argument that they have is that Amanda did not have the proper
license to practice medicine at the hospital. This case is a problem with legality, Chapter
13 in the text deals with legality, and more specifically in this case licensing statutes. The
hospital is required to have a regulatory license to practice medicine, and this is set up to
protect the public from those people who work at the hospital from unqualified persons.
One of these unqualified persons just so happened to be Amanda so this put her at the
