INSTRUCTIONS
Before the exam begins: switch off your mobile phone and place it at the front together with any bags,
Computers, mobile phones, smart watches and any other electronic devices are not permitted.
Students found to be in possession of any mentioned above devices will have a case of formal academic misconduct
reported.
Students arriving late to the exam will be admitted, but will not receive any extra time to finish.
Be sure to write your name and the student number.
Make sure that your writing is neat and legible.
If I cannot understand what is written, it will be graded as zero (0).
Any clear instances of cheating will be dealt with by the invigilator.
If you have any questions during the exam, raise your hand and approach the teacher.
You must not leave your desk without the permission for the duration of the examination.
Failure to comply is an examination offence and may result in your examination not being marked.
Students may not communicate with each other in any way in the examination room.
Ensure that you use the washroom before arriving for the exam.
You are not permitted to leave the examination room during the first hour of your examination.
If you need to leave, raise your hand.
If you are given permission to temporarily leave the room, submit your exam papers to the teacher.
During the time outside you must not attempt to contact any other person or consult any material.
You must answer questions directly on the questionnaire, in appropriate section.
Note that the number of lines is intended, usually, as an indicator of the desired answer length.
If you need more space, use the back of the sheet and indicate clearly that you have done so.

Cheating and plagiarism
Clause 2.12 of the Institutional Policy on the Evaluation of Student Achievement
2.12.1 All cheating, attempt to cheat or collaboration in cheating will result in a mark of zero for the test
or work involved. In such cases, the teacher must seize the documents and make a report, which must
be sent to the centre’s office by the department coordinator or academic advisor for continuing
education. The use of MP3 players, cell phones and laptop computers (unless authorized) is prohibited.
2.12.2 A student who plagiarizes, that is, who steals or passes off as his or her own any work
whatsoever, regardless of the source, of any author without giving a proper credit to the author will be
given a mark of zero for the work handed in.
2.12.3 Any subsequent cheating or plagiarism by that student will result in a mark of zero for the entire
course involved.
