OVERVIEW OF THE STUDY
Scope of the Report
The report deals with the training and development process in terms of theoretical point of view
and the practical use. The study will allow learning about the training and development issues,
importance, modern techniques and models used to make it more efficient. The study will help
to learn the practical procedures followed by the leading banks. Moreover, the study will help to
differentiate between the practice and the theories.
Objectives of the Study:

To analyses the training and development process of City Bank limited.

● To identify the purpose of the trainings
● To Identify the topic covered in the In-House Training programs in details
● To Find out issues and problems and provide recommendation for improvement according to it.

Data collection
Methodology means the methods, problems and techniques to collect the data. In the broad

system or equity. Not-structured questionnaire and informal interviews, internet is the main

Limitations:
The bank always remains busy as it has to deal with walk in customers from 10 am to 4pm,
therefore the officers are in a rush and get occupied with their own work as a result had very few
chances to talk to them properly.
At first, the authority did not want to disclose much about their training process as it does not fall
under any bank’s policy. The training and development Information of TBL are very confidential.
I was not allowed to have all the information. The report was prepared with the limited
information
We chose 2 branches of City Bank to prepare this report within 2 weeks and we just able to meet
6 employees to collect the required data.

In general sense we mean “Bank” as a financial institution that deals with money. There are different types
of banks like Central bank, Commercial bank, saving bank, Investment bank, Merchant bank, Cooperative
bank etc. But when we use the term bank it generally means ‘commercial bank’ that collects the deposit
