1. One of the main reasons the “hoteling” system is not being welcomed by the managers
at Royce is simply because of the perception of status that accompanies the managers
getting an office space to work out of. Even if it is a shared space. The managers feel like
the rug is being pulled out from underneath them with this change in concept,
ultimately hurting their egos. It is evident in the case that receiving an office is a strong
motivating factor for those with hopes of advancing to a management position. Another
