Risk management, which recognizes the capacity of any project to run into trouble, is
defined as the art and science of identifying, analyzing, and responding to risk factors throughout
the life of a project and in the best interests of its objectives, (Pinto, 2019, pp. 243). The de
Havilland Aircraft Company of Great Britain failed to effectively manage their risks as their
engineers sought to streamline an airplane that encompassed comfort with capacity as well as
aerodynamic designs for faster speed. By employing strategies in project risk management, they
could have avoided catastrophic results and saved many innocent lives lost due to design failures
during the project. Identifying risks to determine a set of risk factors the project may face, could
have led to an analysis of probability and consequences. By prioritizing responses to any risk
