Perfect Pizzeria has a few main problems that were addressed in the previous paragraphs.
By proposing different solutions to the problem, the nation’s second-largest pizza franchise
will create a better work environment for their employees. The first problem with Perfect
Pizzeria was that most managers did not have any sort of training from the corporate
headquarters and only one of the managers had completed college. That is ridiculous
because any franchise, especially when providing a service, should have some sort of
training on how to manage a staff and have good customer service. According to a job
description for a Pizza Hut Restaurant General Management position in Florence,
Kentucky, the requirements that are needed in order to be even considered for the job:
“have at least 2 years of leadership experience in the restaurant, hospitality or retail
industry with responsibility for financial results,” (Pizza hut restaurant, 2013). There can
be a few propositions to help alleviate the problems with training. Requiring at least a two
year degree for managers can help from getting an in-class view on things. Previous
managerial experience in the food industry of 2+ years can also be a great option. Another
option for better training would be Perfect Pizzeria franchise can hold manager training
sessions every time someone is hired. Doing some sort of situational or standardized tests
in the training could really be beneficial for a new manager’s success.
The second problem with Perfect Pizzeria was that there was a large turnover of
employees. Most of the employees at Perfect Pizzeria were college students that needed
